Markus van den Hövel

Markus van den Hövel (* 1963 ) is a German judge and presiding judge at the Bochum Regional Court .

Life

In 1989 he received his doctorate in Bochum with a thesis on the admissibility and admission problems of constitutional complaints against laws. In 1992 he entered the judicial service in Hagen , was appointed judge at the regional court in Bochum in 1997 and in 2002 he was appointed presiding judge at the regional court. Since then he has also held the position of trainee training manager. Since 2007 he has been chairman of the 2nd major (economic) criminal chamber of the Bochum district court, from 2012 to 2016 he was also a (non-permanent) assessor of the 1st senate of the service court of judges of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia . In addition to numerous articles, he published in particular writings on legal training , but also in non-specialist areas on the Shroud of Turin and the veil of Manoppello .

In 2018 he founded the Rotary Club Bochum-Renaissance with others .
