Marlene Moses

Marlene Inemwin Moses (* 1961 in Aiwo ) is a Nauruan politician and co-founder of the Naoero Amo party. Since the 30th March 2005 is UN - Ambassador of the Republic of Nauru in New York .

After completing her basic education in Nauru, Moses graduated from Canberra College of Advanced University and Monash University in Melbourne . She began her political career in 1983 as an employee of the Foreign Affairs Bureau. In 1988 she became consul in Tokyo and in 1991 consul general in Auckland . In 1995 and 1996 she acted as the assistant director of the external department, and in 1999 and 2000 as the secretary of the internal department. In addition, Moses was also a member of the Nauru Rehabilitation Corporation .

Until 2003, Moses served in the Ministry of Health. With the admission of Naurus to the UN, she was appointed deputy ambassador. In March 2005 Moses Vinci replaced Clodumar as UN Ambassador to New York.
