Marlis Gielen (born September 10, 1959 in Straelen ) is a German theologian .

Life

From 1978 to 1984 she studied Catholic theology and classical philology ( Latin ) at the University of Bonn . In 1984 she passed the 1st state examination for teaching at secondary level II / I (grammar school). The doctorate to Dr. theol. took place in 1989 by the Kath.-Theol. Faculty in Bonn with the work Tradition and Theology of New Testament House Table Ethics. A contribution to the question of a Christian discussion of social norms (supervisor: Helmut Merklein ) and the habilitation in 1997 with the work The Conflict of Jesus with the Religious and Political Authorities of His People in the Mirror of the Matthean Jesus Story (Supervisor: Helmut Merklein). From 1984 to 1988 she was a research assistant at the New Testament Seminary of Catholic Theol. Faculty in Bonn. From 1988 to 1990 she completed her traineeship at the Aachen II study seminar with practical training at the Episcopal Pius Gymnasium in Aachen . In 1990 she passed the 2nd state examination for teaching at secondary level II / I (grammar school). From 1990 to 1993 she taught as a secondary school teacher for the subjects Kath. Religious Studies and Latin at the Cusanus-Gymnasium Erkelenz . Since October 1, 2000, she has been teaching as a university professor for New Testament biblical studies at the Catholic Theol. Faculty of the University of Salzburg .
