Marnette "Marne" Provost Patterson (born April 26, 1980 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress .

Patterson won the Star Search singing competition at the age of nine . Shortly thereafter, she got a few smaller roles in television series such as Life and Me , Behind the Moon Immediately Left and The Wild Seventies . For her supporting role in the television series Something So Right , in which she starred in 1996, she was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1997. In 1999 she starred in the sitcom Movie Stars , which was canceled after ten episodes. In 2006 she played the role of Christy Jenkins in eight episodes of the television series Charmed .
