Marquardt Petersen (born April 7, 1996 in Flensburg ) is a German trumpeter . On February 1, 2014, he was appointed the youngest ambassador for the children's hospices by the Federal Children's Hospice Association. In 2015, he was named Global Champion by the International Children's Palliative Care Network (ICPCN).

Musical career

Marquardt Petersen has been playing the trumpet since he was eight. Since September 2008 he has been the official fan trumpeter of the handball Bundesliga club SG Flensburg-Handewitt and has since performed well over a hundred and fifty times at handball games in the Flens Arena .

In March 2010, Petersen won the young talent competition in the Musikantenstadl in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the title “Melody for my Papa” composed for him by Andreas Fahnert . At the Silvesterstadl in Klagenfurt he took second place in the competition for the “Stadl Star”.

In 2011 and 2012 he played the German national anthem live in front of more than 13,000 spectators in the Barclaycard Arena at the handball final of the DHB Cup .

  • 2010 2nd place in the overall ranking of the Musikantenstadl young talent competition for the Stadlstern in Klagenfurt
  • 2011 special prize for the best instrumental version of the "Schleswig-Holstein song Reloaded"
  • 2013 finalist in the international music competition "Schlager-Trophy 2013"
  • 2014 Appointment as "Ambassador" of the Federal Association of Children's Hospice
  • 2015 "Global Champion" of the International Children's Palliative Care Network (ICPCN)
