Marsha Dutton

Marsha Lyn Dutton Stuckey (* 1942 ) is an American English scholar .

Life

She earned an AB (English, French, Philosophy) from the University of Kansas in 1964 , the MAT (English Literature) from the University of Kansas in 1974 and a Ph.D. 1981 (English language and literature) at the University of Michigan (An Edition of Two Middle English Translations of Aelred 's De institutione inclusarum) with John Reidy. She taught in the Department of English at Ohio University (Professor 2006–2015, Associate Professor 1998–2006).

Her teaching and research fields are ancient and Middle English literature ( Geoffrey Chaucer ; literature of a religious direction), English Cistercian sermons and treatises of the 12th century, medieval translation and translation theory and the history of the English language.
