Marshall Hain was a British pop duo that consisted of keyboardist Julian Marshall and singer Kit Hain.

Kit Grove
Kit Hain (born December 15, 1956 in Cobham , Surrey ) knew Julian Marshall from her school days in Plymouth . She studied psychology in London and worked on the side with folk music , she wrote songs and sang. She met Marshall again and worked with him for a while.
After their time together, Hain recorded two solo LPs: Spirits Walking Out (1981) - alternative title: Looking for You - and School for Spies (1983), which only sold moderately. She moved to the USA in the 1980s and only works as a songwriter . Her pieces have been recorded by Cher , Roger Daltrey and Fleetwood Mac , among others .
Julian Marshall
Julian Marshall (* in Exeter ) went to London after finishing school to study music at Dartington Hall School and the Royal College of Music . He played a lot of jazz music and formed his own band. He met Kit Hain again in a London jazz club. After a time together as Marshall Hain, he worked in the group The Flying Lizards in 1979 and formed the duo "Eye to Eye" with singer Deborah Berg in the 1980s , which released two albums without success. Today he works as a lecturer.
Band history
Julian Marshall and Kit Hain began writing and playing music together in 1976. The two achieved a great international success in the summer of 1978 with the disco-suitable title Dancing in the City ; UK 3rd place in Switzerland 4th place in Germany even for a week # 1 . The following single, the slower Coming Home , reached position 39 in the British charts. The LP Free Ride could not be placed in the charts and the duo broke up again. Marshall Hain remained a one-hit wonder .
