The Marstalltor in Hanover is the entrance to the former riding house at the New Marstall , built in 1714 by Louis Remy de la Fosse . The royal stables and riding houses belonged to the ducal royal stables on the Hohe Ufer .

While the Reithaus was destroyed by the air raids on Hanover during the Second World War, the representatively designed Marstalltor has been preserved as the central portal of the building. It was moved about 100 meters south in 1967. There it was placed on a leash north of the Historical Museum . It takes the place of the former Brühltor . It was an earlier city gate , as part of the medieval city fortifications of Hanover .

The Marstalltor bears the national coat of arms of the Hanoverian-English King George I.
