Marta Helmin (born October 17, 1976 in Bromberg , Poland ) is a German musical actress .

Life

Marta Helmin began playing the piano at the age of six and took part in music competitions in Germany at a young age . In 1994 and 1995 she won first prizes at the national youth music competition . In 1996 she began studying singing with P. Ziethen at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold , Münster department , which she supplemented after one year with piano studies with C. Rave.

During her studies she was already on stage in opera productions (among others as Serpina in La serva padrona by Pergolesi and as Belinda in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas ), as a concert soloist she appeared in, among others, the Requiem by John Rutter and in contemporary productions by the Canadian R. Murray Schafer with.

In October 2000 Marta Helmin won first place at the Wisch Euregio Vocalist Competition in Terborg .

In 2000 she graduated at the piano, in 2001 she completed her vocal studies.

As the premiere cast of Nannerl in the successful musical Mozart! she made her musical debut at the Neue Flora (Hamburg) in 2001 . This was followed by a cast as Lisa and the cover of Sophie in the musical Mamma Mia! . Then she played Ulli in the play The flying classroom at the Altona Theater . In the operetta As in May, Helmin took part in several roles. In the new recording of Evita at the Bremen Musical Theater , she played in the ensemble and as a cover for Perón's Beloved. In 2006 Marta Helmin performed piano recitals on the cruise ship AIDAblu . She then played at the Altona Theater in Sister Soul and at Theater 11 (Zurich) in the musical We Will Rock You . In 2008 she moved to Vienna for the musical We Will Rock You .

Marta has been a soprano in the Berlin a cappella band ONAIR since 2013 .

Marta Helmin has two children.
