Martha Kunig-Rinach , née Martha Rinach (born April 1, 1898 in Munich ; † March 24, 1993 ibid) was a German actress and operetta singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

She received her first engagement at the age of 17 at the Munich Residenztheater . From 1938 to 1944 she was engaged at the Volkstheater in the Bavarian capital. Two years later the artist came to the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz , of which she was a permanent member of the ensemble for many years and which became a particular favorite with the public. There the chamber actress could be admired mainly in comical roles. Martha Kunig-Rinach, who ultimately only achieved regional fame, played in several (home) films (in smaller roles): Standschütze Bruggler (1936), A Heart Beats For You (1949), The Alm an der Grenz (1951) , Encounter with Werther or The Terrible Girl (1990). On the radio, she took part in cheerful Bavarian evenings , for example in 1955 in Unser Fähnelein is white and blue , and in 15 episodes (1969–1985) of the program Das Bairisch Herz. Cheerful and contemplative in words and songs (which was broadcast in 764 episodes from 1955 to 1996). In 1962 she played in the Komödienstadl on the side of Michl Lang , Erni Singerl , Maxl Graf a . a. a leading role in The Service Anniversary . Since the 1950s she also worked as a voice actress .

The artist was married to the actor and singer Rudolf Kunig .
