The building at Martin-Luther-Straße 55, formerly Artillerie-Straße 55, southwest of the town hall , is a well-preserved building with a side wing on the courtyard side . The design and implementation come from the burger master mason Gustav Ortloff , just like the neighboring building . He had the building erected on his property at the beginning of the 20th century. The building is a three-story residential building with a gable roof . The street facade made of red bricks with some decorative elements and with the entrance door and skylight has largely remained unchanged, only the windows have been renewed. The decorative elements divide the facade into different sections, so a floor separation is indicated by dark bricks. The building was created in connection with the western expansion of the city. The house was listed as a historical monument in 2017.
