Martin Bender (lawyer)

Martin Bender (born April 29, 1959 in Mannheim ) is a German lawyer and a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since 2009 .

Life

He began his legal career in 1988 in Baden-Württemberg . He initially worked as a trial reporter at the Ettlingen District Court and Karlsruhe Regional Court as well as at the Karlsruhe Public Prosecutor's Office. In 1991 he was appointed judge at the Karlsruhe Regional Court, where he was a member of the jury and a large criminal chamber . From 1991 to 1995 he was a member of delegation and the District Court of Dresden and the Dresden District Court , where he worked rehabilitation matters. From 1998 to 2001 he was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant. From there, Bender went to the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court . In 2002 he was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court, where he dealt with white- collar crime .

In mid-May 2009, Martin Bender was elected federal judge. On October 5, 2009, he began serving as a judge at the Federal Court of Justice. Bender was initially a member of the Second Civil Senate , which deals with corporate law. He is now a member of the 4th Criminal Senate .
