Martin Beneke
Martin Beneke (* 1966 in Konstanz ) is a German physicist and university professor .
Career
Beneke studied physics, mathematics and philosophy at the University of Konstanz , at the University of Cambridge , Great Britain, and at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1993 he was at the Technical University of Munich with his thesis The structure of fault lines in high orders doctorate . In 1998 he completed his habilitation in Heidelberg.
In 1998, he received a call to a chair of theoretical physics at the RWTH Aachen University (RWTH Aachen) .
On April 1, 2012, Martin Beneke was appointed to the chair for theoretical elementary particle physics at the Technical University of Munich.
Awards
- In 2008, Beneke was awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for his research in the field of theoretical elementary particle physics .
