Human perception of space has been the focus of his artistic work since the mid-1990s. In his works he deals with media installations, exhibition design and the revitalization of urban spaces (collaborations with ORF , Ars Electronica , City of Vienna). As a consultant in various interdisciplinary teams of experts, he has developed his own theory of spatial vision (“Synoptikum” - idea study of a center for interdisciplinary thinking at the University of Vienna and “City / Space / Proximity” - to revitalize modern urban spaces, Urban Planning Vienna 2002). In his painterly work, the human body is in the foreground. In the pair pictures cycle he explores the near-far-paradoxical effect of pictorial objects.
