Martin Eric Clapton Signature Series is an acoustic guitar series by the American guitar manufacturer C. F. Martin & Co. , to whom Eric Clapton dedicated the world's first signature acoustic guitar after the worldwide enormous success of the album Unplugged .

History and characteristics

After Clapton had been using Martin guitars of types 000-28 and 000-42 live and in the studio since the 1970s , he became known for using the acoustic guitar in 1992 with his album Unplugged .

Clapton signature guitars were also built in the 000-45 series and thus in three different series. The characteristics of an instrument from the Martin Eric Clapton Signature Series are either the Clapton signature on the fingerboard or, in the case of limited editions, special names such as Bellezza Bianca , Bellezza Bianca , ECHF or the Crossroads Center logo.

Trivia

Clapton has been using acoustic guitars since 1994, personally made for him by Martin's artist builders .
