Martin Florack

Martin Florack (born April 15, 1977 in Aachen ) is a German political scientist at the University of Duisburg-Essen . Between April 2018 and March 2019 he was a substitute professor for the political system of the Federal Republic of Germany at the University of Siegen . In numerous media ( ARD , WDR , Phoenix , Deutschlandfunk ) he appears as a political science expert.

Life

Martin Florack studied political science , communication science and modern and contemporary history from 1997 to 2003 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In the meantime, he studied European Studies and Political Science from 1999 to 2000 at University College Cork , Ireland .

After completing his studies (Magister Artium (MA)), he initially worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen. From 2005 to 2006 he spent a year in the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia before becoming Academic Councilor at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2006. In 2013, Martin Florack received his PhD from the University of Duisburg-Essen. rer. pol is doing his PhD. In addition, from 2010 to 2016 he was Vice Dean for Studies and Teaching of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

After a first substitute professorship in 2016, Martin Florack took over the representation of the Political System Professorship of the Federal Republic of Germany at the University of Siegen in April 2018 . He has been back at the University of Duisburg-Essen since April 1, 2019.

Martin Florack played a key role in setting up the NRW School of Governance , where he works as a lecturer (including the Master of Public Policy, MPP).
