Martin Hujsa (born September 9, 1979 in Skalica , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Ertis Pawlodar in the Kazakh ice hockey league since August 2012 .

Career

Martin Hujsa began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the HK 36 Skalica , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Slovak extra league in the 1997/98 season . After six years in the top Slovak division, the striker moved to their league rivals HC Slovan Bratislava , with whom he first won the IIHF Continental Cup in 2004 and became Slovak champions in 2005, 2007 and 2008 . By winning the championship in the 2007/08 season, Hujsa qualified with his team for the newly founded Champions Hockey League , in which he was on the ice in all four group games for Slovan and scored four points in the 2008/09 season .

For the 2011/12 season Hujsa moved to HC Litvínov from the Czech extra league .

International

For Slovakia Hujsa took part in the U20 Junior World Championship in 1999 , where he won the bronze medal with his team.
