Martin Karollus

Martin Karollus (born October 9, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian lawyer and professor of corporate law at the University of Linz .

Life

Martin Karollus completed after high school at the AHS Theresianische Academy in Vienna district Wieden 1982-1986 the Study of Law at the University of Vienna , in 1987 received his doctorate he there for the Doctor of Law ( Doctor of Law ). From 1986 to 1992 he was university assistant to Winfried Platzgummer and Helmut Koziol in Vienna. In 1991 he qualified as a professor at the University of Vienna in civil law. From 1992 to 1995 he was professor for civil law at the University of Bonn . Since 1995 he has been full professor of commercial and securities law at the University of Linz and head of the institute for corporate law. In 1996 he became vice dean of studies, and from 2000 to 2003 dean of studies of the law faculty in Linz.

Karollus is the author of several textbooks and other scientific legal publications.

He was married to the university professor Margit Karollus until her death.
