Martin Khor

Martin Khor (2013)

Martin Khor (born November 9, 1951 in Penang , Malaysia ; † April 1, 2020 there ) was a journalist and economist .

From 2009 Khor was Executive Director of the South Center , which, as an intergovernmental organization for the countries of the global South, advocates their interests.

Previously, he was director of the Third World Network , which was founded as a non-governmental organization by globalization critics from the South, and for various governments in developing countries. He was one of the leading critics of globalization in its current form.

Khor studied economics at the University of Cambridge and Science University Malaysia .
