Martin Krüger (born January 10, 1994 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Krüger began his career in his hometown and later played for the second division club VC Bitterfeld-Wolfen . Then he came to the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt and completed international matches with the German junior national team. In 2013, the setter went to study at Warner University in Lake Wales , where he played on the university team. In 2017 he was signed by the German Bundesliga club TSV Herrsching . With the club he reached the semifinals of the DVV-Pokal 2017/18 and the playoff quarterfinals of the Bundesliga . He was then committed by league rivals VfB Friedrichshafen . Since Friedrichshafen signed another setter during the season, Krüger was loaned to league rival Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen in January 2019 . With the club he missed the Bundesliga playoffs as ninth in the table . After the season he returned to the second division side Bitterfeld-Wolfen.
