Martin Morczinietz (born August 16, 1984 in Bad Tölz , Germany ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who has been active for ERC Sonthofen from the Oberliga Süd since 2016 .

Career

Martin Morczienietz had his first missions in the senior sector as 3rd goalkeeper of the Geretsried Riverrats in Oberliga Süd 2000/2001 , where he also played in the youth team at TuS Geretsried . Although he was equipped with a production license for the Augsburger Panther for 2001/02 , he continued to play in Geretsried.

Even when the Riverrats ' league team was disbanded after the 2002/03 season and TuS Geretsried took part in the Bavarian Ice Hockey League , they continued to play in Geretsried despite training with a DEL team before the start of the season. Morczinietz moved in the 2004/2005 season as 3rd goalkeeper to the Hannover Scorpions in the German Ice Hockey League , whereby he was equipped with a sponsorship license and was therefore also eligible to play for the cooperation partner, REV Bremerhaven from the 2nd Bundesliga.

The 180 cm tall and 74 kg heavy goalkeeper with the player number 37 followed his older brother Andreas Morczinietz to Hanover to gain experience there. During the 2006/2007 season he played with the Augsburger Panther. On April 23, 2007 he moved back to the Hanover Scorpions. At the end of October 2008 he finally joined SC Bietigheim-Bissingen. On November 30, 2011, he dissolved his existing contract with the Steelers and moved to the major league for EHC Klostersee , where he stayed until 2016 when the club withdrew from the major league. For the 2016/17 season he joined the ERC Sonthofen .
