The Martin Motors Ideal 1000 is a small car from the Italian bus and automobile manufacturer Martin Motors . The vehicle is a variant of the Changhe Ideal and is assembled under license from the Chinese Changhe Auto .

development

With the introduction of the Ideal 1000 at the end of 2009, Martin Motors would like to compete in the micro car sector , i.e. against Hyundai ( Hyundai Atos ), Fiat ( Fiat Seicento ) and other manufacturers active in this category. Outwardly, the model resembles its Chinese counterpart. The vehicle for Europe, however, has been newly developed independently and has a higher safety standard. The body parts are produced by Changhe in China, engines and other vehicle parts are produced by Suzuki in European plants and everything is delivered together as a CKD kit to Martin Motors, where it is finally assembled.

The standard version is equipped with power steering, power windows at the front, central locking with remote control, air conditioning, radio with 3 loudspeakers and a separate CD player.

The engine of Ideal 1000 is a with LPG -operated gasoline engine of the type DA465Q-2 / D1 with a power of 33.5 kW at a displacement of 970 cc (Euro IV). In the sport version, a Suzuki GP08 engine from Gruppo OMCI with a displacement of 1150 cm³ and an output of 50 kW is used. The consumption of the model should be 6 liters per 100 km for both engine variants. The trunk has a capacity of 42 liters.
