Martin Munke

Martin Munke (born February 25, 1984 ) is a German historian.

Munke grew up in Burgstädt . From 2003 to 2006 he studied Medieval and Modern History, German and Protestant Theology at the University of Leipzig . In 2006 he moved to the Technical University of Chemnitz , where he completed a degree in European history as a Bachelor of Arts. He then completed his master's degree in European integration with a focus on East Central Europe at the Technical University of Chemnitz and the Charles University in Prague by 2011 . From 2011 he worked as a research assistant at the Professorship for European History of the 19th and 20th Centuries at the Chemnitz University of Technology, headed by Frank-Lothar Kroll , and at the Saxon-Czech University Initiative. There he began teaching, publishing and reviewing activities with a focus on the history of East Central Europe. He is the managing director of the Ostblick association - Initiative OsteuropaStudender Deutschland eV

Since July 2016 he has been a speaker for Saxonica at the Saxon State Library - State and University Library Dresden and as such is responsible for editing the Saxon bibliography .
