Martin Pensa is a Canadian film editor .

Life

Penza has been in the film business since childhood. He worked as a voice actor for Macaulay Culkin and Elijah Wood . In 2002 he began studying at the Los Angeles Film School. During this time he also began to write and direct his own short films. He later settled in Montreal and was involved in various positions in short films, music videos and commercials.

In 2011 he was involved in the field of visual effects and as an assistant editor for the film Café de Flore . This production marks the first collaboration with the director Jean-Marc Vallée . Two years later this was repeated in the film Dallas Buyers Club . For this, the two received an Oscar nomination in the category Best Editing in 2014 . Another joint production followed in 2014 with Der große Trip - Wild .
