Martin Růžička (born June 1, 1987 in Pardubice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with HC Dynamo Pardubice in the Extraliga since 2016 .

Career

Martin Růžička began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC Pardubice , for whose junior teams he was active in the U18 and U20 extra leagues. During the 2005/06 season he made his debut in the Extraliga for the professional team of the same club.

In the U20 extra league he was also used for the juniors of HC Dukla Jihlava and HC Kometa Brno . With Pardubice, the goalkeeper was runner-up in 2007 before winning the championship title with his team in the 2009/10 season . He stood between the posts for his team 20 times. Since he did not get enough playing time as a substitute goalkeeper in the Extraliga, he has been given the opportunity to collect match practice in the second-class first division every season since 2006 . There he ran for HC Rebel Havlíčkův Brod , SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč , BK Mladá Boleslav (with whom he rose to the Extra League in the 2007/08 season) and HC Chrudim .
