Martin Schlierkamp

Martin Schlierkamp (born June 26, 1972 in Cologne ) is a German designer , comic book artist and illustrator .

Martin Schlierkamp studied visual communication with Rudi Assmann and John Waszek at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences . In 2000 he completed his studies as a graduate designer (FH). Since then he has worked as an illustrator and graphic artist for well-known animation studios , computer game manufacturers and publishers . He currently lives and works as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator in his hometown of Cologne.

In addition to his stylistic security as a cartoon designer, he is best known for his lavish painterly work in the comic and illustration sectors.

He first gained attention in the comic scene with the 2000 Selbstverlag produced vampire comic book "Alischa". In 2001 he illustrated “Grimm # 3: 'Fitchers Vogel'” for Hamburg's Zwerchfell-Verlag in collaboration with the author Eckart Breitschuh , for whom both won the 2002 ICOM Independent Comic Prize .
