Martin Schweiger (politician)

Martin Schweiger (born February 5, 1911 in Göggingen , today Augsburg , † February 23, 1990 in Dillingen an der Donau ) was a German politician of the Bavarian Party and the CSU .

After graduating from secondary school, Schweiger trained as a butcher and completed his apprenticeship with a master craftsman's examination. In 1938 he made up his Abitur at the TH Munich and then studied business administration. He passed the diploma exam and received his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. From 1950 to 1966 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . From 1954 he represented the direct mandate in the district of Dillingen city and country . In 1957 he left the Bavarian Party and switched to the CSU, but after just under a year he returned to the Bavarian Party. From 1952 to 1978 he held the office of district administrator for the district of Dillingen an der Donau.

Schweiger was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on January 13, 1964 .
