Martin Stahlberg (born January 29, 1985 in Kassel ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Martin Stahlberg started playing football at TSV Seestermüher Marsch in his home town of Seester near Elmshorn and came to Hamburger SV via Raspo Elmshorn . After he was promoted to the A-Jugend there, he played for the first time for the second team of HSV in the Regionalliga in the 2004/05 season .

In the following year he moved to the regional league promoted Kickers Emden and in 2006 to the second division relegated Rot Weiss Ahlen . At the Ahlenern, he became an important factor on the right side of midfield and contributed seven goals to the season's success in the year of promotion in 2008. In the 2008/09 season he was part of the Rot Weiss Ahlen professional squad in the 2nd Bundesliga. In February 2009 Stahlberg suffered a cruciate ligament rupture while playing at FSV Frankfurt and was out for the rest of the season. After the 2008/2009 season, he ended his career due to sports disability .
