The Seestermüher Marsch is one of the four Elbmarschen in southern Schleswig-Holstein in the Pinneberg district . It extends in the area of the communities Seestermühe , Seester and Neuendeich between the Elbe tributaries Krückau and Pinnau .

The Seestermüher Marsch is characterized by agriculture, the soil offers very good conditions for the cultivation of grain. Only in the Kurzenmoor district of the Seester municipality , a moor area overlaid by a layer of peat on the edge of the Seestermüher Marsch at the transition to the Geest can hardly be used for arable farming, here you will mainly find lush pastureland .

The area is almost entirely a landscape protection and water protection area . The Schallen on the Seestermüher bank of the Elbe are home to a whole range of rare and threatened animal species.

The Seestermüher Marsch, like the other Elbmarschen, is an attraction for day tourists from the surrounding cities.

Two route variants of the planned extension of Autobahn 20 led through the Seestermüher Marsch. Many of the residents had protested against it and got together in various citizens' groups. The current plan approval procedure , however, provides for another variant near Glückstadt , which does not affect this march .
