Turgay Tapu (born April 29, 1982 ) is a German soccer goalkeeper of Turkish origin.

Career

Turgay Tapu had been the goalkeeper of the Rot Weiss Ahlen second team since 2004 . From 2006 to 2008 he played 64 games in the Oberliga Westfalen , before Ahlen II continued to play in the OL Westphalia after the leagues were reorganized after the introduction of the 3rd division , which was now the sixth highest division.

After an injury to the regular number 2 of the second division team Dirk Langerbein , he sat at the beginning of the 2008/09 season as a substitute goalkeeper for the professionals on the bench. On the 2nd match day, goalkeeper Manuel Lenz was sent off after a handball outside the penalty area and Tapu had to step in for him from the eighth minute of the game. Outnumbered, the game against FC Augsburg was lost 3-0. Langerbein was available again for the following two games during the suspension for Lenz and Tapu took his place on the bench again.

After the season, Tapu moved to the national division SC Roland Beckum. In June 2011, his return to Rot Weiss Ahlen was announced, who now only played in the regional league after bankruptcy . In March 2013 the contract was terminated after differences with coach Marco Antwerpen.
