Martin Stettler (born January 10, 1984 in Burgdorf ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who was last under contract with the SCL Tigers in the Swiss National League .

Career

Martin Stettler began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the SCL Tigers , for whose professional team he made his debut in the National League A in the 2001/02 season , where he received two penalty minutes in 17 games. During his time playing in Langnau he also parallel to the EHC Visp in the National League B . In the summer of 2009, the defender moved to SC Bern and won the Swiss championship with the Bernese in the 2009/10 season . For the 2011/12 season , the defender received another contract with the SCL Tigers.

Stettler missed the entire 2017/18 season due to a knee injury and therefore did not receive a follow-up contract with the Tigers. Since 2018 he is gaining experience as an assistant trainer for the elite juniors at SC Langnau.

International

For Switzerland , Stettler took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2002 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2004 .
