Martin Telser (born October 16, 1978 ) is a former Liechtenstein soccer player.

Career

Telser learned the soccer game at FC Balzers and began his active career there in 1995. In 1999 he moved to the Liechtenstein flagship club FC Vaduz . In 2001 he went to the club from the first division in the National League B on. Before moving back to Balzers in the summer of 2006, he made 140 appearances in the second division at Vaduz. In each of his seven seasons he also won the Liechtenstein Cup competition with Vaduz . In his last cup win in 2006, he scored in extra time against FC Balzers to make it 4-2.

Telser made his debut in the Liechtenstein national soccer team in a World Cup qualifier against Macedonia in November 1996 (final score 0:11). He achieved his only international goal in October 1998 in the historic victory over Azerbaijan during the 2000 European Championship qualification. This was the first competitive victory for a Liechtenstein national team. The trained plumbing technician came to his last of his 73 international matches on October 17, 2007 in a 3-0 victory over Iceland in qualifying for Euro 2008. With 73 appearances, he is fourth in Liechtenstein's record international, only Mario Frick , Daniel Hasler and Martin Stocklasa were used more often.

In the summer of 2009 Telser ended his career.
