Martin Thilo

Emil Martin Thilo (born June 23, 1876 in Borgholzhausen , † March 14, 1950 in Eitorf ) was a German Protestant pastor and theologian.

After a two-year trip to Bethlehem, Thilo was pastor in Enger , Langerfeld and Eitorf (1918–1946). From 1921 he was also a private lecturer for the Old Testament and from 1923 lecturer for Hebrew at the University of Bonn .

family

Martin Thilo was the son of the pastor Eduard Thilo and Hermine geb. Luyken. On August 29, 1907, he married Johanna Charlotte Auguste, b. Thilo. The family had three sons.

Honors

In Eitorf, Dr.-Martin-Thilo-Strasse was named after him.
