Martin Ulander

Martin Ulander (born February 23, 1976 ) is a former Swedish national soccer player .

career

Ulander began playing football at IF Hallby . In 1991 he moved to the youth department of Jönköpings Södra IF . There the defensive all-rounder IFK Göteborg was noticed and was signed in 1993. At first he was still active in the youth field, from 1994 he was also on the pitch for the club in the Allsvenskan . From 1994 to 1996 the Swedish championship title could be won three times in a row. He then went to league rivals Örgryte IS , where he was under contract until 2003. He surprisingly switched to Aarhus GF in Denmark . There he played alongside fellow countrymen Jeffrey Aubynn and Nicklas Carlsson . In 2005 he returned to Allsvenskan and signed again with IFK Göteborg. In 2006 he ended his active career after long-lasting injury problems that barely allowed him to play for the club.

Ulander made his debut for the Swedish national team in 2001 . He then had to wait two years before his next assignment before being reappointed in 2003. In total, he played four international matches, but remained without a goal.
