Martin Wacker (born August 21, 1968 , Karlsruhe ) is a German cabaret artist , actor , journalist , author , presenter and event manager .

Career

Wacker has been a member of the Sandkorn Theater Ensemble since 1987, where he has performed more than 2000 stage appearances (drama, musical, children's and youth theater). At the same time he worked from 1992 to 2002 for private radio stations in Baden-Württemberg (including Radio Regenbogen, Welle Fidelitas) as CvD, speaker and presenter. In 1995 he founded the "KomedyKabarett rastetter & wacker" with Erik Rastetter. Numerous own productions are created with appearances throughout southern Germany and invitations to TV and radio appearances on SWR (Südwestrundfunk). In recent years, Wacker has been engaged as an actor at the Baden State Theater. Together with Rastetter, he designs recitation evenings and literary programs for the Karlsruhe Literary Society. The duo performed at the Ettlingen Castle Festival in 2014, followed by another season in Ettlingen in 2017. Wacker is the stadium announcer for the KSC league games. He volunteers for charity events and groups of friends in his hometown and the surrounding area (Doctors for Developing Countries, Hospice "Arista", German Muscle Foundation and many more). Today he is the managing director of Karlsruhe Marketing und Event GmbH and oversees events that are known far beyond the city, such as “ Das Fest ”, an open-air music festival with more than 100,000 visitors, and the Schlosslichtspiele .
