Martin Wehner

Martin Wehner (born October 3, 1945 in Einbeck ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (1978-1982).

Life

After elementary school, Martin Wehner attended high school in Einbeck , where he graduated from high school in 1965. He then did military service in Hanover for two years. From 1968 he completed an apprenticeship in senior administration, which he completed in 1971. As a result, he worked from 1971 to 1974 for the state capital Hanover as an administrative officer, then from 1974 for the municipality of Katlenburg-Lindau as treasurer and municipal administrator.

Martin Wehner joined the SPD in 1963. He took over the deputy chairmanship of the board of directors of Einbeck's district and city savings bank, and was involved in evangelical youth work for fifteen years . From 1971 he was elected to the council of the city of Einbeck, since 1976 he was alderman . He took over the deputy chairmanship of the SPD parliamentary group in the council. From 1972 he also worked in the city of Einbeck as chairman of the youth welfare committee. From 1998 to 2006 he was mayor of the city of Einbeck.

From June 21, 1978 to June 20, 1982 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (9th electoral term).

Wehner is a member of the district council of the Northeim district and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there.

He is married and has two daughters.
