Martin Windrow

Martin Windrow (* 1944 in Great Britain ) is a British historian , publisher and author .

Life

Windrow attended Wellington College and subsequently worked in the 1970s as a writer of articles on military history and aviation . He also wrote a large number of books on the organization and equipment of military operations, most recently on the French Foreign Legion and its history. He was an editor at Osprey Publishing, which specializes in military history books .

Windrow is associated with the Royal Historical Society in London and is a member of the Association of Foreign Legionaries in Great Britain .

He also published a book about his longtime pet, an owl named Mumble.
