Martina Hund-Mejean

Martina Hund-Mejean , nee Hund (born May 29, 1960 in Frankfurt-Höchst ) is a German economist and Chief Financial Officer of the US credit card company Mastercard .

Life

Martina Hund graduated from school in 1979 with the Abitur. From 1979 to 1981 she completed a bank apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank AG and from 1981 studied economics at the University of Freiburg . After completing her degree in economics, Hund became a credit analyst at Dow Chemical in Frankfurt in 1985 .

In August 1986, she began an MBA at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia , Charlottesville .

In 1988 she found employment in the Treasury Department of General Motors , New York City ; Over the years she rose to the position of Assistant Treasurer in the US and UK.

In 2000 she moved to Lucent Technologies ; In 2002 she became Treasurer and Head of M&A at US conglomerate Tyco .

In 2007 Martina Hund-Mejean became chief financial officer of the US credit card company Mastercard .

In Treasury & Risk Management Magazine dog was three times in their list of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance called (100 most influential people in finance).

Martina Hund-Mejean is married to Bruno Mejean, a US citizen of French origin, whom she met at the end of the 1980s during financing negotiations during her time at General Motors. The two have two children.
