Martina Jentsch

Martina Jentsch (born March 22, 1968 in Leipzig ) is a former German gymnast . Your home club was the SC unit Dresden .

Martina Jentsch reached seventh place in the all- around at the 1985 World Championships in Montreal and received bronze with the team of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). In 1986 she won two East German championship titles: on the ground and in the horse jump. Jentsch successfully defended her title on the ground in 1987, and at the 1987 European Championships she finished seventh in the all-around competition. At the 1987 World Championships she was a member of the GDR squad for the second time, which won bronze. The GDR team also won bronze at the 1988 Olympic Games , but Martina Jentsch injured herself while doing her duty and couldn't help her team in the freestyle. In the same year she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.

After the end of her sporting career, Martina Jentsch moved to Cottbus .
