Martina Kieninger

Martina Kieninger (* 1966 in Stuttgart ) is a German chemist and writer .

Life

After graduating from high school , Martina Kieninger studied chemistry in Stuttgart . In 1991 she did her doctorate at the University of Heidelberg . Since 1996 she has been teaching at the Universidad de la República in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo . In addition, she began publishing literary texts on the Internet in the 1990s . In 2000 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt ; Her first novel was published in 2005 .

Martina Kieninger received a. a. In 2000 the Würth Literature Prize , in 2004 a scholarship from the Künstlerhof Schreyahn and in 2019 the German Prize for Nature Writing (together with Daniela Danz ).
