history
The Martinskapelle as the predecessor building on the mountain between the predecessor villages Hetschburg and Buchfart , surrounded by a castle wall, was destroyed at a time that has not been passed down and described in a document as a desert church.
In 1520 the people of Hetschburg began building the Martinskirche. In the Thirty Years War (1618–1648) the church burned down and was rebuilt from 1700 to 1720 in the Baroque style and equipped with an organ . The doors were renewed in 1991 and the roofing of the stairwell was renewed, as was the main roof.
architecture
In the nave there are galleries and the stalls as well as the organ and the altar .
In 1991 the church tower was dismantled and reconstructed in 1992.
Until 1906 a wall surrounded the church grounds. Two tombs from that time are still on site. In 1864 the cemetery was relocated.
organ
The current organ from 1779 fell silent in 1973. The organ was re-inaugurated in 2007.
Support association
A support association was founded in 2001.
