Martin's Church in Meckfeld
The Protestant Martinskirche Meckfeld in the district of Meckfeld of the city of Blankenhain in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia is located with a fenced-in church on the northern edge of the Rundlingdorf in a shallow valley.
history
The originally Gothic church was rebuilt in a neo-Gothic style at the end of the 19th century.
The tower is square with a pointed hood and square sound openings on all sides. The nave has a gable roof and an entrance door with a pointed arch.
Furnishing
A Gothic shrine from 1502 by a Mecklenburg master from the Saalfeld School , once located next to the Martin Altar, is now in the Weimar Castle Museum . In addition to the chairs, the furnishings include double galleries and a wooden staircase to the pulpit .
