The Martinsstift is a building in Darmstadt .
Architecture and history
The parish hall of the Martinsgemeinde , inaugurated in 1891, was financed by a donation - like the Martinskirche , which was built earlier . The Martinsstift with a large hall has been largely preserved in its old condition with a later western extension. The single-storey structure consists of masonry with a steep, slate-covered gable roof and a plastered facade . The windows with fine stone jewelry and dainty with dormer windows and an open roof skylights -scale roof were described by the original church building .
Monument protection
For architectural and historical reasons, the picturesque building is a cultural monument .
