Martyn Jarrett

Martyn William Jarrett (born October 25, 1944 in Kingsdown , Bristol , England ) is an Anglican Bishop of the Church of England .

life and career

Martyn Jarrett was taught at Cotham Grammar School and King's College in London . He was ordained a priest in 1969 and went to Swindon as a curate . Jarrett served as an advisor to the Church Ministry from 1985 to 1991, then was ordained vicar and then bishop.

As bishop he held the office in Burnley from 1994 and from 2000 to 2012 the office in Beverley .
