Marvin Fritz

Marvin Fritz (born April 20, 1993 in Mosbach ) is a German motorcycle racer .

Career

Beginnings

Marvin Fritz started motorsport at the age of four, initially drove motocross and celebrated some successes. In 2002 Fritz switched to road racing and competed in his first minibike season. In the 2003 season he was German champion in the junior category. After another year in the minibike championship, the German switched to the ADAC Junior Cup for the 2006 season and won the championship title straight away.

IDM

In 2006 Fritz started for the first time in the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) in the class up to 125 cm³ on a Honda and finished 11th in the overall standings. In the following years he continued to ride in the eight-liter class and was runner-up in 2009 . After a year in the Superstock 600 European Championship in 2012, Fritz returned to the IDM, where he won the Yamaha Supersport Championship in 2014 with the Bayer-Bikebox Racing team . After a year in the Superstock 1000 class, he was promoted to the IDM Superbike. With eight wins, Fritz crowned himself German champion in his first year in the top class with the Bayer-Bikebox Racing team in 2016.

In the motorcycle world championship

Fritz started with a wildcard in four races in the motorcycle world championship in the class up to 125 cm³ and achieved his best result in Assen 2009 with a 14th place.

Endurance World Championship

Fritz has been competing in the FIM Endurance World Championship for the Yamaha Austria Racing Team since the 2016 season . Since then, the German has won the eight-hour race at the Slovakiaring twice and achieved three more podium places with his team by the end of the 2018/2019 season. In the 2016/17 season, the team achieved third place overall in the World Endurance Championship, with Broc Parkes , Kotha Nozane , Josh Hayes and Sheridan Morais competing in the races alongside Fritz .
