Marvin Prolingheuer (born June 29, 1990 in Senden ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Prolingheuer, whose father was an active volleyball player himself, began his career in 2003 at SC Union 08 Lüdinghausen . In 2006 he went to the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt , where he switched from the outside position to the diagonal attack. With the junior national team, he reached the final of the European Championship in 2008. In 2009 he moved to Bundesliga club Moerser SC and in 2012 to league competitor TV Bühl . In May 2014, Prolingheuer had his first appearance in the senior national team against Belgium . He then moved to the SWD Powervolleys Düren within the Bundesliga . In the 2014/15 season he reached third place in the Bundesliga and the semifinals in the DVV Cup with Düren . The following season he came with the SWD Powervolleys in the playoff quarter-finals ; in the CEV Cup , the team also made it to the quarter-finals. In the 2016/17 season Prolingheuer reached third place in the championship with the Düren team. In the following season, the SWD Powervolleys made it to the round of 16 of the CEV Cup , but had to admit defeat in the playoff quarter-finals of the Bundesliga. Then Prolingheuer moved to the Italian club Gioia del Colle .

Private

In July 2019, Prolingheuer married his long-time girlfriend Marion.
