Masae Kasai ( Japanese河西 昌 枝, Kasai Masae ; later Masae Nakamura ; born July 14, 1933 in Minami-Alps , Yamanashi ; † October 3, 2013 in Tokyo ) was a Japanese volleyball player .
Career
Kasai was setter for the Japanese national team , which won the gold medal at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo . She also became vice world champion in 1960 and world champion in 1962 . In 2008 she was inducted into the " Volleyball Hall of Fame ".
