Career
Fukasawa's career began in 1996 with the Yokohama F. Marinos . In the same year he was loaned to River Plate until 1997 . After his return, he came to the Marinos on 13 missions in which he scored three goals. Nevertheless, from April 1999 onwards it was loaned out again. This time to Spain for the second division CD Tenerife . From the 2000 season Fukasawa played again in Japan and had his personal breakthrough there. He played for Albirex Niigata until 2004 and came up with 141 missions. Niigata played in the Japanese second division at the time, and in 2003 he played a major role in promoting the club to the first division. Fukasawa was rarely used in the J.League. In 2005, he took part in a public trial training for the Montreal Impact and received a contract. For the Canadian club from the USL First Division , he played until the end of 2006. He won the Voyageur Cup with the club in 2005 and 2006 and was elected best new player in his first year. He then went back to Asia , where he signed a contract in Thailand in 2007 with the then reigning champions FC Bangkok University . With the club he played in the AFC Champions League . He was the first Japanese who competed in the Champions League with a team from outside Japan. But even he couldn't prevent the group stage from surviving. After only one year in Thailand, Fukasawa moved on to Singapore . There he has been under contract with the record champions FC Singapore Armed Forces since 2008 . In his first season he played a major role in ensuring that the club was able to win the cup and championship double.
