Masashi Ōtani ( Japanese 大谷 昌 司 Ōtani Masashi ; born April 17, 1983 in Gunma Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Ōtani learned to play soccer on the school team at Maebashi Ikuei High School . He signed his first contract with the Kashima Antlers in 2002 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed two top division games. In 2005 he moved to league rivals Albirex Niigata . He then played at the Japan Soccer College and Arte Takasaki . At the end of 2009 he ended his career as a football player.
