history
The company was founded in 1859 as JM Bauer Maschinen zur wire production. In 1946 it was taken over by Walter Niehoff and renamed MASCHINENFABRIK NIEHOFF KG in 1951. Today the medium-sized company is one of the leading manufacturers of wire and cable machines.
Locations
The company has production sites in Germany ( Schwabach , Leuterschach ), Brazil ( Barueri ), USA (Swedesboro), the Czech Republic ( Nymburk ), and near Hyderabad (India) . Sales offices are located in Japan, Singapore, China, Russia and Dubai.
In 2008 the company built a new factory outside the city of Schwabach. The first construction phase from September 2008 includes buildings and systems for the production areas of assembly, test bench, trial and test area, dispatch, paint shop and the training workshop. The move took place in departments from November 2009. The second phase of construction began in April 2011. The company's own parts production is located there. The commercial departments, construction and development moved into the five-story office building completed in the third construction phase in December 2015.
